Jessica Marshall
The Art of BeatuTEA
Jessica Marshall is a Tea Artist, experiential designer, and founder of The Way of BeauTea, whose work explores tea as a medium for presence, beauty, and human connection. For the past five years, she has served tea at Lake Atitlán and around the world, creating immersive tea spaces for festivals, retreats, private ceremonies, public gatherings, and community events.
At Lake Atitlán, Jessica has served tea at renowned gathering spaces including Eagle’s Nest and Gaia Dance Temple, developing her practice within the rich international community surrounding the lake. Beyond Guatemala, she has co-created traveling tea temples and pop-up lounges throughout Oregon, Austin, San Diego, Colorado, Asheville, Tulum, and beyond, bringing tea into environments ranging from large-scale festivals and company events to intimate gatherings and personal ceremony.
Through The Way of BeauTea, Jessica is developing what she calls the art of the tea lounge: intentionally curated spaces where beauty, ritual, hospitality, and plant relationship create the conditions for people to slow down and truly arrive. Her specialty is creating moments of presence and connection within highly stimulating environments, transforming unexpected spaces into intimate altars of beauty and belonging.
Jessica is also a steward of lotus teas and elixirs, and her lounges frequently become spaces for collaboration with tea makers, herbalists, artists, and medicine keepers. Her approach draws from a broader background in visual art, design, ceremony, hospitality, and event production, weaving these disciplines together to create experiences that invite deeper relationship with ourselves, one another, and the plants being shared.
At the heart of Jessica’s work is a fascination with what becomes possible when we create the conditions for people to truly arrive. Whether deep in the forest, in the intensity of a festival, or gathered around a tea table, she uses beauty and ritual to invite a return to presence, curiosity, and the simple magic of being together.
