These are made from the Bodhi leaf, the same tree the Buddha sat under to achieve enlightenment. We fondly like to think as it may have helped filter the impurities of the Buddha’s thoughts, so to does it filter the impurities of the tea liquor.
While fragile looking, with care and continuous use, the tea oils that dry on the leaf harden the leaf structure to make it more durable. Many previous guests who have taken one home have had the same one for more than 2 years without damage. Can be used gongfu style or on the edge of a Western-style mug as well. Will be shipped with a storage slip to keep stored safe after use.
